Dr. Cosgrove is a board certified adult psychiatrist based on Long Island and is one of a small number of reproductive psychiatrists nationally. She has extensive training and experience working with women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She utilizes a comprehensive approach to treatment and strongly believes in the utilization of psychotherapy to reduce distress and regain functioning. She works to help identify and change maladaptive patterns and coping skills in the present while also working to understand how the past influences our current difficulties. She advocates for the reduction of polypharmacy, sustainable lifestyle interventions, and mindful use of medication when appropriate.
